摘要

A Non-uniform Rational B-Spline (NURBS) based high order Rankine panel method is developed for solving the nonlinear wave-making resistance problem. In this method, both the body geometry as well as the source density distribution on the boundary surface is represented by the NURBS basis function. In order to satisfy the nonlinear free surface boundary condition, an iterative procedure is developed. The radiation condition is satisfied by the numerical technology of staggered grids. The nonlinear wave-making resistance of a mathematical Wigley ship is calculated at a series of different ship speeds. The numerical results show that the proposed approach for calculating the wave-making resistance is accurate and effective.
