摘要

Applying the electric propulsion system on GEO satellite in the future is an inevitable trend in China. For this purpose, a lot of problems should be solved not only thruster itself but also the whole system. Based on the analysis of satellite requirements, in this paper the key technologies for the electric propulsion system application on the GEO satellite are summarized. Three important relations are emphasized. The first one is the electric propulsion system. The second one is the relation between the electric propulsion system and the chemical propulsion system. The last one is the relation between the electric propulsion system and the whole satellite or the whole system. Through liquidating those relations, the key technologies for the electric propulsion system applied on new GEO satellite are indicated.
