Diophantine equations with Appell sequences

We consider the Diophantine equation P-n(x) = g(y) in x, y where P-n(x), g(x) is an element of Q[x], deg g(x) %26gt;= 3 and {P-n(x)}(n %26gt;= 0) is an Appell sequence. Under some reasonable assumptions on P-n(x) we prove an ineffective finiteness result on the above equation.
