摘要

Amino-functionalized carbon nanotubes decorated with MoS2 nanoparticles (ACNTs-MoS2) as hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) electrocatalysts have been prepared via a simple ultrasonication and gradient centrifugation. MoS2 nanoparticles was synthesized through ultrasonication of bulk MoS2 sheets with the centrifugal speed between 8000 rpm and 10000 rpm and ACNTs-MoS2 composites were formed through the ultrasonication of ACNTs and MoS2 nanoparticles. The quality ratio of ACNTs to MoS2 in 0.25: 1 exhibited the best activity towards HER with onset potential of -260 mV, an electrocatalytic current density of 3.28 mA/cm(2) at overpotential of 500 mV and a small Tafel slope of 65 mV/decade. In addition, the catalytic effect was further improved when the ACNTs-MoS2 nanocomposite under 0.25: 1 was electrochemically treated after 2000 cycles, exhibiting onset potential of -130 mV and an electrocatalytic current density to be 10.99 mA/cm(2) at a low overpotential of 500 mV. This work may open up an attractive way to design advanced materials for HER.
