摘要

A method combining image processing and multi-scale wavelet transform to detect the density of warp and weft of woven fabric automatically is proposed in this paper. Three foundational weaves with different yarns density are evaluated via wavelet transform. With a series of image processing, wavelet transform and morphology processing, the density of warp and weft is obtained. According to the results from data analysis, it is concluded that the proposed method is perfectly suitable for three principle weaves and the accuracy for fabric density detection is as high as 99.92%, which indicates the proposed method will hold a good application prospect.
