Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) has been used for the detection of leptospiral 165 rDNA. Here we report the development of the LAMP method for leptospiral 16S rDNA detection which can be interpreted easily within 90 min by visualizing the fluorescence of calcein. The lower limit of detection (LLOD) is 10-100 copies.
