Drought disaster is one of the most serious natural disasters in China. The drought occurrence frequency, influence scope and degree increase rapidly in recent years. The droughts brought about huge losses for social-economic development (especially for agriculture). In this paper, the assessment model of drought disaster based on entropy-weight gray fuzzy clustering method is proposed according to the gray and fuzziness characteristics of regional drought disaster. The three indices including rate of disaster-affected area, rate of disaster-damaged area and rate of get-no-crop area are selected as the disaster situation evaluation index according to the materials of crops drought disaster situations of China's provinces in 2006-2010. The drought disaster situations of all regions are computed by fuzzy clustering method based on different clustering thresholds levels and the dynamic clustering genealogy figure is obtained. The drought disaster situations of 31 regions are divided into five kinds according to the gray relational degree and fuzzy clustering analysis. The results show the model is effective for evaluating crops drought disaster situation and can provide decision-making for China's agricultural anti-drought and disaster relief.
