摘要

This paper designs a special apparatus for testing the heat conductivity of fiber assembly. It is different from fabric testing. For six filling fibers-wool, cashmere, kapok, hollow polyester, acrylic and goose down, their heat conductivity with different bulk densities were measured. The results show that the fiber morphological structures affect assembly characteristics. Bulk density is an important parameter which has a close relation with the thermal transfer of fiber assembly. Controlling the assembly bulk densities to contain more still air is the crucial method for decreasing its heat conductivity.
