摘要
Lung worm infections represent an important differential diagnosis in dogs and cats with respiratory signs. While common respiratory parasites in dogs include the nematodes Crenosoma vulpis and Angiostrongylus vasorum, the most commonly detected feline lung worm is Aelurostrongylus abstrusus. This paper gives an update on prevalence of the parasites, clinical signs in dogs and cats, diagnostic work-up, and therapeutic options.
