摘要

The kinetics, thermodynamics and mechanisms of Ni2+by bentonites were investigated. The adsorption mechanism w as also analyzed. The results show that the adsorption kinetics follows the pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The adsorption rate is effected by both particle and film diffusions. The adsorption process can be described by the Langmuir models. Based on the analysis of thermodynamic parameters, the adsorption processes belongs to an endothermic reactions. The concentration of Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+in the solution increase significantly after the adsorption by bentonite. It is assumed that the ion exchange could be one of the ion removal mechanisms besides the outer-sphere surface complexation.
