摘要

Assembly sequence affects the quality and cost of mechanical products, and it is important in product design. In order to obtain the assembly sequence rapidly, an improved approach for assembly sequence planning is proposed and is carried out based on ant colony algorithm. The optimal or near-optimal assembly sequence, which is helpful to manufacture, can be obtained by considering geometric constraint, stability of components and assembly experience in assembly process. A modified ant colony algorithm is introduced to solve the studied approach of assembly sequence planning effectively, achieved by adopting dynamical candidates set strategy to constrain the searching space of assembly sequence, and improving state transition rule and pheromone updating rule to ensure obtaining the optimal or near-optimal solutions. Finally, the feasibility and calculation efficiency of the proposed approach are verified by a case study.
