A New Neolignan Glycoside from the Roots of Acanthopanax brachypus

A new neolignan glycoside, named as brachyposide A, was isolated from the EtOH extract of the roots of Acanthopanax brachypus, together with nine known compounds. The structure of brachyposide A was characterized by spectroscopic means as (7S,8S)-Delta 7'-2,9,9'-trihydroxy-7-O-3',8-O-4'-neolignan-4-O-beta-D-apiofuranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside. The known compounds were identified by comparing their spectral data with those of authentic samples or literature data.
