Oscillation criteria for the second-order half-linear difference equation
Delta (r(k)/Deltay(k)/(alpha -1) sgn Deltay(k)) + p(k)/y(k+1)/(alpha -1) sgn y(k+l) = 0, alpha >1,
to be oscillatory are obtained. These criteria are proved using the Riccati technique.
