Determination of the combination of cosmological parameters Omega(alpha)(m)sigma(8)

We have obtained new constraints on the cosmological parameters Omega(m) and sigma(8) from the peculiar velocities of flat edge-on spiral galaxies from the RFGC catalog. Based on these results presented graphically, we have found the quantitative condition (Omega(m) /0.3)(0.37) sigma(8) = 0.92 +/- 0.05. The estimates of Omega(m) and sigma(8), along with their combinations Omega(m) (alpha)sigma(8) for various alpha, are compared with the estimates by other authors.
