摘要
Ridge edges that are marked as dark or bright lines and curves abound in SAR imagery, such as roads, rivers, railways. In this paper, we propose an improved ridge detector which is constructed by Log-Gabor filter. The even part of Log-Gabor filter is designed based on the width of the ridge edges to be detected. The edge response is then calculated by comparing the statistics of the even parts. Edge binary maps are obtained after non-maxima suppression and hysteresis thresholding. Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curves are used to evaluate the performance. Experimental results on simulated and satellite SAR images show that the proposed detector achieves better performance than traditional line detector.
