摘要

It is important for a beginner pianist to develop the correct piano posture and body movement techniques as these lead to a good sound pitch, decent performance and avoid various Playing Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (PRMDs). In this paper, we propose a Kinect-based piano education system that analyzes the pianist's posture during performance and provides the feedbacks for correction. The system was evaluated during four days in a private piano school with three professional pianist and five student pianists. The results of the proposed system show encouraging indication for the adoption of such a piano education system by a beginner pianist.
