摘要

A method is proposed to determine the gamut boundary of 3-colorant sensor devices, such as RGB monitors and CMY printers. Firstly, by using characterization data, the 3D colorant gamut boundary is found out from the outer surface of colorant cube, and then the corresponding colorimetric gamut boundary is converted from colorant boundary points. Secondly, the 2D constant-lightness gamut in colorant space is obtained from the intersection points of constant-lightness plane and colorant cube edges. At last, the constant-hue-angle gamut is determined by the similar method.
