摘要

Aim: To explore the distribution of apolipoprotein E (ApoE) gene polymorphism and interleukin-1 beta(IL-1β) gene polymorphism in Chinese Han population with Alzheimer';s disease(AD). Methods: Seventy-six AD patients and 80 normal controls were selected randomly. The gene polymorphism of ApoE and IL-1β were genotyped in all the subjects with polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP) methods. Results: There was no significant difference between the genotype of IL-1β of the two groups. The predominant allele in IL-1β gene polymorphism was B1(80.3),and AD was associated with ApoEE4(22.4) allele. There was no association between ApoEE4 allele and the genotype or distribution of IL-1β allele. Among the AD patients with ApoEE4 allele, B1/B1 was found in 34 cases, B1/B2 in 16 cases and B2/B2 in 2 cases, while in the control group, there were 38, 18 and 4 respectively. Among the AD patients without ApoE E4 allele, B1/B1 was found in 14 cases, B1/B2 in 10 cases and B2/B2 in 0 cases, while 12, 8 and 0 respectively for the controls without ApoE E4 allele. Conclusion: In Chinese, the ApoE E4 allele is closely associated with AD, but IL-1β allele can not be used as a marker for differentiating AD patients form healthy people.
