摘要

A mixed-valent [Mn-12] complex with an unprecedented [(Mn4Mn8II)-Mn-III(mu-OCH3)(4)] core was obtained by oxidation of MnCl2 in the presence of salicylaldoxime (saoH(2)). This complex adopts a rare topology based on a central [Mn-4(II)] cage decorated by four dinuclear [(MnMnIII)-Mn-II] motifs. Studies of the magnetic properties show the presence of strong intracomplex antiferromagnetic interactions and suggest an S-T = 2 spin ground state.
