Analysis of Interference Caused by Intermodulation in Multi-tone Radiated Immunity Tests

摘要

In this paper, interference caused by intermodulation in multi-tone radiated immunity tests is systematically investigated. The analysis shows that interference of electromagnetic wave will occur when frequencies of multi tone signals are distributed with arithmetic progression under the condition of three or more frequency signals, which can affect the accuracy of the test results. In order to ensure the quality of the susceptibility test, it must be ensured that power amplifiers are working within their linear operating range. Furthermore, interference can be eliminated when frequencies of any two fundamental signals are not integral multiples of each other and frequencies of any three fundamental signals are not in arithmetic progression distribution.
