In this paper we generalize Holland-Walsh's characterization of the Bloch space and Stroethoff's characterization of the little Bloch space on the unit disk to alpha-Bloch spaces and little alpha-Bloch spaces on the unit ball of C-n for 0 < alpha <= 2.
