The generic delimitation within Cyrtochilum s. 1. is discussed in the light of morphological and molecular research results. Notes on the Cyrtochilum divaricatum-alliance are provided together with the description of two new Colombian species. The novelties are illustrated and their taxonomic affinities are briefly discussed.
