摘要

In this letter, a new method is presented for synthesis of an artificial reflective surface with linear reflection coefficient phase and controllable slope over a wide frequency band. To this end, a circuit model is introduced based on the theory of continued fractions expansion. The resonant elements are then designed according to the circuit model, to provide linear reflection coefficient phase with controllable slope. These resonant elements are realized through dogbone-type configuration to operate in the X-band. The reflection coefficients of fabricated elements are measured using the waveguide method; the good agreement with simulation results confirms the accuracy of the proposed method.
