In the paper the usefulness of directly sampled output signals from industrial voltage/current power signal conditioners for the grid impedance estimation is discussed. As such signals do not fulfill Shannon condition they can be easily gathered in field condition with the use of standard instrumentation, however they are not reliable from the DSP point of view. The presented results confirm that, in spite of that, they can well serve as valuable data for initial estimation of the grid impedance.
