摘要

Bacterial cellulose has unique properties so it can be applied as attractive wound dressing materials with suitable modifications. In this work, bacterial cellulose/TiO2nanocomposites were prepared. The pristine BC and as-prepared BC/TiO2nanocomposites were characterized by several experimental techniques including SEM, FTIR and TG analyses. The results showed that TiO2nanoparticles are well dispersed inside BC. The water holding capacity and water release rate were calculated and the result showed the nanocomposites have good WHC and WRR. The anti-bacterial properties of BC/TiO2nanocomposites against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcu aureus were evaluated by plate count method. The experimental results showed that BC/TiO2nanocomposites presented strong anti-bacterial property and bacterial adhesion decreased with the increasing of TiO2nanoparticles. Therefore, bacterial cellulose/TiO2nanocomposites could be applied as novel wound dressing materials.
