摘要
This purpose of this paper is to explain the urban development of the city of Pyongyang in the Koguryo period, through an examination of the architecture of Pyongyang at the time. The paper consists of %26lt;br%26gt;1. A brief review and discussion of Pyongyang%26apos;s place in the Koguryo kingdom. %26lt;br%26gt;2. An examination of the castle and palace architecture of the Koguryo period in order to shed light on the realities of urban organization and planning in that period. %26lt;br%26gt;3. A discussion of housing and living conditions in the Koguryo period by reference to murals and other materials recovered from ancient tombs during excavation and research activities on the Korean peninsula.
