摘要
A malformed co-twin lacking the head, forehand and most of the body was delivered with a normal male lamb after full term gestation from a pluriparous German Blackheaded Mutton ewe. The normal lamb had normal size and weight development. The malformed co-twin showed hind limbs with the pelvis, parts of male reproductive organs including testicles and prepuce, a short, malformed vertebral column with a short segment of spinal cord and short ribs, a short blind ending gut and fetal renal tissue. Absence of the head, forelimbsand thoracic organs classified this malformed co-twin as acardius acephalus.
