摘要

A three-dimensional mathematical model is developed for solution of Stefan's problem in case of metal-melt rapid solidification process in two-rolls facility. In 1981 available results are used reported by K. Miyazawa and J. Szekely, where analyses of the thermal, hydrodynamic and deformation processes are considered.
An algorithm is worked out that takes into account the hydrodynamics and a real contact at the roll functional surface in Stefan's problem. Its numerical solution is obtained by the finite elements method. The development provides possibility to determine the geometry of the solidification front as function of the heat transfer coefficient and the flow rate of the produced material. The conditions are defined for finding out a regulated mode that satisfies the process requirements.
