摘要
A new type of neptunyl(VI) hydroxide alpha-NpO2(OH)(2) I which is topologically similar to alpha-UO2(OH)(2) has been synthesized from the thermal decomposition of the orthorhombic type NpO2(OH)(2).H2O II. The powder X-ray diffraction patterns and Np-237 Mossbauer spectra have shown that properties of alpha-NpO2(OH)(2) I are different from those of the reported beta-NpO2(OH)(2) III, which is similar to beta-UO2(OH)(2).
