摘要
A series of new 2,3-Dihydro-7-hydroxy-2-aryl-6-[(E)-3-aryl acryloyl]chromen-4-ones (lIa-f) have been synthesized by selective mono cyclization of 4,6-Dicinnamoyl resorcinols (Ia-f) with silica gel impregnated NaHSO4 Under solvent-free conventional heating and microwave irradiation methods. The structures of the synthesized compounds have been confirmed on the basis of elemental analysis, IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and mass spectral data. The synthesized compounds were scfeened for their M. vitro antimicrobial activity.
