摘要
The present work involves an investigation of the use of one activated carbon as adsorbent for removal of three organic contaminants, namely: phenol, 2,4-dinitrophenol, and 2,4-dichlorophenol, from water. The experimental data were fitted in the terms of the Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms. The best fitting isotherm was found to be the Freundling isotherm for removal of 2,4-dinitrophenol and 2,4-dichlorophenol and the Langmuir isotherm for removal of phenol.
