摘要

First, based on the Dalaunay triangulation theory in which liner constraints, the limitations of the classical optimization principles are analyzed and the character of the triang le's shape ratio is studied in this paper. The optimizing principle of the maximal shape ratio is proposed. Then, this paper advances terrain mesh simplication arithmetic based on vertices deletion. It designs accordingly data structure and TIN simplification arithmetic based on the triangle's maxi mal shape ratio in which feature-lines are considered. It has overcome the limitations of the classical ones and is easy for calculation, and realized a real time, continuous and multi-resolution show based on terrain TIN model.
