摘要
A tumor-targeting drug delivery system (DDS) composed of hyaluronan (HA) and calcium carbonate (CC) nanoparticles that loaded with adriamycin (Adr) was developed to take advantage of the tumor-targeting ability of HA and drug-loading property of CC for potential gastric cancer therapy. Our experimental results indicated that the drug loading efficiency of HA-CC/Adr nanoparticles was relatively high that is beneficial for the following administration. On the other hand, HA-CC/Adr nanoparticles can increased the uptake ratio of Adr into MKN45 gastric cancer cells compare to bare CC/Adr nanoparticles, possibly via the CD44 receptor-mediated endocytosis. Thus, HA-CC/Adr nanoparticles exhibited stronger anti-cancer activity in vivo than free Adr or CC/Adr nanoparticles with minimized toxic side effects and preferable tumor-suppression potential on tumor-bearing nude mice model.
