摘要

Techniques for increasing data capacity are an important communication systems research target. This kind of technique may be developed by applying the orbital angular momentum (OAM) phenomenon to simultaneously propagate different data streams by generating several modes. This article proposes an OAM-generating antenna, which was designed to generate the OAM phenomenon through a feed network and circular array patch. A prototype was fabricated based on simulation results, and the characteristics of the fabricated antenna were confirmed. The proposed antenna should increase channel data capacity, and therefore should prove useful in communications systems.
