摘要
High-order optical phonon modes in wurtzite ZnO and MgZnO nanocrystals were investigated using resonant Raman spectroscopy. The Raman modes in ZnO showed agreement with a harmonic model, consistent with prior work. MgZnO, in contrast, exhibited a large degree of anharmonic behavior. The strength of the anharmonicity increases upon application of hydrostatic pressure. These results suggest a harmonic-to-anharmonic phase transition, which could be related to the anisotropy (c/a ratio) of the crystal structure. DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevB.87.125205
