摘要

Bryantheae, a new tribe, is proposed within the Ericoideae (Ericaceae). Bryantheae is composed of Bryanthus (Japan) and Ledothamnus (South America). This clade was discovered during a larger study of the Ericoideae, and is based on multiple analyses of six genes. Several morphological characters are shared among members of this clade, but more study is needed in order to establish whether the character states are synapomorphic.
