摘要

This paper evaluates the heating hazard on transformer covers and tank walls by means of an electromagnetic analytical formulation linked with thermal FEM. A non linear magnetic permeability approximation is introduced in the computation methodology, in which power losses are calculated into the thin skin depth penetration of electromagnetic wave using Poynting%26apos;s Vector. The temperature is computed on metallic structural parts heated by electromagnetic induction. The accuracy of obtained results and non linear permeability approximation are validated experimentally.
