A Human Tracking System on the Robot with Face Detection

In this paper, we aim at the attainment of a human tracking system on the robot. Then, we propose the human face detection method from images taken by a web camera. We focus on human skin colors and eyes for detecting human faces. If robots detect faces from images, we trace the detected human faces. Furthermore, in order to show the effectiveness of the proposed method, we show the simulation examples of face detection. From the simulation results, it was confirmed that the proposed method works well.
