摘要
Vitamin D deficiency is associated with more frequent morbidity and mortality in general population, while the influence on patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIT) is controversial. The aim of the study is to assess the prevalence of 25OH-vitamin D deficiency in 100 Romanian young adults with HIV and antiretroviral treatment. The most frequent characteristics of the patients are the median age 26 years old, male gender 56%, urban area 58%, normal body mass index 73% and lymphocyte CD4 count over 350/mm3 71%. Median value of serum 25OH-vitamin D was 20.45 ng/mL The prevalence of 25OH-vitamin D deficiency was 49%, although lower levels referred to the normal values were found in 83% of cases. The deficiency of 25-OH vitamin D are correlated with LCD4 over 350/mm(3) and with the overweight.
