摘要
The newly synthesized and structurally characterized octabrominated 3-pyrrolyl boron dipyrromethenes are shown to reveal negative sol-vatochromism and quantitative generation of singlet oxygen; properties relevant to develop a new class of reagents and photodynamic therapy agents.
