摘要

The lean ore and dolomite marble rock samples with the same diameter (about 50 mm) and the ratio of height to diameter (1-2) were studied. The uniaxial compression tests were carried out on a servo-controlled testing machine, and the size effect was compared. The results show that the curvature of stress-strain curves increases with the increase of the ratio of height to diameter. The rock';s deformation modulus and elastic modulus increase nonlinearly with the increase of the ratio of height to diameter. The failure of rock specimens with small ratio of height to diameter is quite complex, but it shows as splitting failure and shear failure with high ratio of height to diameter. The compressive strength increases with the increase of the ratio of height to diameter.
