摘要

A novel half-perforated structure is proposed to conceive a dual-band dual-polarized antenna element design, aiming to broaden the impedance bandwidth in the lower band while keeping the antenna profile low. According to the simulations conducted using Ansoft HFSS 11.0, the impedance bandwidth (ΙS11Ι&le-10dB) can be increased to 12.8% in the lower L-band, making it closer to that of the upper C-band (16.8%). Moreover, good radiation performance is maintained in both low and high-frequency bands. Hence the new concept is suitable for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) antenna applications.
