Assessment of the size charts of apparel business in online clothing sale for children between the ages of 3 and 6
The aim of this study is to investigate the size charts used by the apparel firms selling clothes online for 3-6 year old children, and present the criteria they use in determining the correct size as well as the range of these sizes according to age variable. Internet survey research was the chosen methodology for this study. The sample of the study is 173 firms which have size charts on their websites. Is revealed at the end of this research that in the size charts presented on their websites, in order for their customers to identify the correct sizes, mostly weight and height measurements are given place. When the range of measurements according to age groups is looked through, it was observed that there is not an exact standard in anthropometric measurements used in clothes manufacture of children for 3-6 ages and size description.
