摘要

This paper presents the implementation and validation of a fuzzy controller for controlling lateral displacement of the web in a roll-to-roll process. Modeling of the lateral control system is described first, and then, fuzzy control logic is explained in terms of fuzzification, inference engine, and defuzzification processes. The fuzzy control logic is evaluated by computer simulation and experiments under the same conditions as those for the roll-to-roll printing process for RFID antennas. Results of the simulation and experiments indicate that the lateral error can be controlled satisfactorily such that the lateral displacement has a linear relationship with the input error. Overall results suggest that the proposed fuzzy controller should he considered as a suitable method for lateral control in roll-to-roll printed electronics.
