摘要

A theoretical model for bridge pile buckling in steep slope, by which the influence of distribution of landslide-thrust behind the pile as well as the weakening of the horizontal resistance of foundation in front of the pile would be considered, was further developed. The analyses were performed based on the total potential energy equation of the pile-soil system, and the solution of stability calculation length was obtained by using energy method. The parametric analyses were conducted, such as elastic modulus, diameter, and the embedded depth of pile. The results show that the calculated results from the proposed model demonstrate a good agreement with the experimental observation. The embedment ratio of pile, the critical ratio of length to diameter, and the critical embedded depth have significant influences on the buckling stability of pile.
