摘要

A new multi-direction algorithm of fuzzy mathematical morphology for image edge detection based on fuzzy enhancement is introduced. This algorithm is combined with the method of fuzzy enhancing and fuzzy mathematical morphology in order to achieve the results that are not possible with a single technique. In this paper, first, the image contrast is enhanced by means of the multilevel fuzzy enhancement algorithm based on the many image thresholds. And the thresholds are figured out from the histogram. Second, the multi-direction characteristic of structure elements and fuzzy image characteristic is integrated into mathematical morphology, and then, mathematical morphology to detect image edge is used. The simulations prove that it can perfectly restrain salt & pepper noise by using the algorithm; meanwhile, the fuzzy edges of image are well detected.
