NEW OSCILLATION CRITERIA FOR SECOND ORDER SUBLINEAR DYNAMIC EQUATIONS

The purpose of this paper is to establish and improve the main results of a number of recent papers for a more general sublinear dynamic equation %26lt;br%26gt;(r(t)x(Delta)(t))(Delta) + p(t)f(x(sigma) (t)) = 0, %26lt;br%26gt;Our results are established for a time scale T without assuming certain restrictive conditions on T, and where, in addition, r and p are real-valued, rd-continuous functions on T with no explicit sign assumptions. The function f is an element of C (R, R) is assumed to satisfy xf(x) %26gt; 0 and f%26apos;(x) %26gt; 0, for x not equal 0. Some examples are given to illustrate the main results.
