A research on rapid control prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop simulation for the control unit of six speed automatic transmission

The control strategy of six-speed automatic transmission (6AT) is presented. Both rapid control prototyping (RCP) simulation and hardware-in-the-loop simulation (HILS) test on transmission control unit (TCU) are carried out, and the sample vehicle test with TCU developed for 6AT is also conducted. The results show that the TCU meets its performance requirements, and RCP and HILS can enhance the development efficiency of TCU.
