Antioxidant silver nanoparticles green synthesized using ornamental plants

摘要

The aim of this study was to describe a green approach to prepare new antioxidant silver nanosystems using some ornamental plants (Hyacinthus orientalis L. and Dianthus caryophyllus L.) as promising tools for biomedical applications. The potential ability of these plants for the bioreduction of Ag+ to Ag-0 was investigated by spectral methods (UV-VIS absorption, FTIR, DLS). The stability of the herbal silver nanoparticles was checked by c-potential measurements and their antioxidant properties were determined by chemiluminescence method.
