摘要

The ZrC-W composites were prepared by low temperature reactive melt infiltration method using 4μm WC powder as porous performs with 55vol.% porosities and using Zr3Cu alloy as the infiltration agent. Systematically studies on effects of the infiltration temperature and time on the reaction phases and morphology of composites prepared by reactive infiltration method. Results show that the degree of reaction between WC and Zr in alloy increases with increasing the infiltration temperature, which means that the generated W and ZrC increase and the residual WC decreases. As the temperature increases to 1500°C, the residual WC phases converts into W3C phases. With the infiltration time increases, the reaction degree between WC and Zr in the Zr3Cu melt increases, the lattice constants of the reacted ZrCx increase, also W2Zr and Cu5Zr intermediate reaction phases are found.
